| Born in London in 1943 Jon studied at St Albans College of Art under Norman Adams, Euan Euglow and George Fuller |

| Jon has taught at a number of schools and colleges including 1967 -74, Lecturer in Painting, Manchester Polytechnic and 1983-86 Norwich Schools of Art | ||
| Having traveled in India and former Yugoslavia Jon lived for a year on the Black Sea in Turkey. | ||
| After working for many years at various studios in London including Wapping and Stratford Jon moved to Wales in 1990 winning the Wales Open Exhibition the same year | ||
| Since 1992 Jon has lived and worked in the Vale of Glamorgan, near Cardiff. He is married with a teenage daughter and older son | ||
